Hammer and Anvil - November 2004 Scenario
I. Forces
Players should bring 2000 points of figures to the event.
II. Map
The Castle Map from Map Set One should be used.
III. Setup
Roll to determine Attacker/Defender as normal.
The Defender then sets up 500 points of figures anywhere inside the outer castle walls (the solid black line). This 500-point force need not be legal under the normal hero-minion leadership rule, although the entire 2000-point force must be.
The Attacker sets up 1250 points of forces anywhere outside the outer castle walls. This 1250-point force must be legal under the normal hero-minion leadership rule.
On Turn 3 the Defender may bring in the rest of his 2000-point force from the edge of the map farthest from the castle entrance, starting off the map, entering one at a time and paying normal movement costs.
IV. Objective
The game is played until the end of the turn after 50 minutes has elapsed. The Attacker wins if he has destroyed the entire force of the Defender that was defending the castle in Turn 1 or if that force has left/has been forced to leave the inner castle area. Some identifying mark or list of figures must be used to keep track of the original castle force. The Defender wins if the Attacker has not met his victory condition.
V. Special Rules
The SA “Initiative” is not in effect in this scenario. The Attacker plays first every turn and the Defender plays second. The Defender always gets his full last turn.
The SA “Sneak” is not in effect in this scenario, although figures with that SA may be used.
The “Frodo Rule” is not in effect in this scenario, so neither the death of Frodo nor his exit from the other side of the map will end the game.
The 50% Rule is not in effect in this scenario. Only the victory conditions outlined above apply.
