Examining Map Set 2 by David Freeman

Map 1

With a set of four smaller buildings this map is similar to the hut map from the first map set though with much smaller buildings. A little more open because of the smaller buildings and the high ground along the side in a different place I think melee armies should be able to get some advantage from the buildings breaking up line of site.

Map 2

I hope you don't plan on going anywhere very quickly, that's all that can really be said about this map. With easily the most water hexes of any map so far this map will bog down your troops and should slow things down considerably. Got a Sneak centered force? They should shine on this map!

Map 3

Elevation mania! The opposite of the water map the amount of elevated terrain on this map is unprecedented. Positioning and cunning use of the bonuses for being on elevated terrain will get you most of your wins on this map.

Map 4

This map is interesting. The elevated areas available to each side at deployment and multiple crossings of the river make this map symmetrical enough to be pretty much the same for either side. Though close to the same the terrain breaks things up a lot forcing you to contend with it in your maneuvering around the board.
